I love data. It's something that motivates me, because it is one of the things that shows me that I am doing my job and the children are learning! There is a warm, bubbly feeling that comes with observing the effect sizes and progress students have made.
In my first year of teaching, I would sit there on a Saturday, typing vigorously away into an Excel spreadsheet, graphing my students scores and reading into what the data meant and how I could push my students to move toward the expected level. I would put them into individual sheets, so I could try and share this data with parents and also use it myself to see the percentage of students above, at or below the expected levels. I can tell you now, after the discovery of this app and it's functions, I won't be doubling up on my work now! Check this out...
This little beauty allows me to record my data directly into my iPad, I can adjust it to 'Auto Grade' depending on what percentage or particular score equates to the alphabetic counterpart.
I have made a video tutorial on how to record the scores (below) and am still working on the formulas for transferring this information into individual reports automatically, which I will share with you soon.
