By far, some of the best outcomes I achieved from students have happened by integrating an 'In-class Flip' for Early Childhood.
Since first integrating this concept into my classroom, I've amped up my own skill level and now use various programs to generate, share and collate videos or flip the lesson content for students. This pedagogy provides inclusivity, individually paced learning and opportunity to give greater support to students at their level of need.
My advice is to start simply, take a risk and have a go, get comfortable and then challenge yourself further to create for different contexts (For example, differentiated teaching and learning). The idea isn't to necessarily use Flipped Learning for everything, but to create a balance with other strategies and structures.
This year, I was grateful to have had an opportunity to present some ideas and experiences at the Flipped Learning Conference held by My Learning. @JeremyLeCornu summarised Flipped Learning superbly and offered participants time to have a go at generating videos themselves. It was excellent! If you are looking into PD to discover more about Flipped Learning, I highly recommend this conference.
Having had many messages from teacher friends about how to do Flipped Learning, I've decided to post my slides and recommended websites below, which I have trialled and used to generate the majority of my Flipped content. I hope this is helpful in giving you some ideas for your own Primary classroom.
There are lots more out there to choose from, but these are resources and websites that I have used myself and found to be effective.
